Forget Me Not by A.M. Taylor ~ARC Review~

It is the 10th anniversary of Nora Altman’s disappearance. Friends and family gather for a memorial. No one knows what happened to Nora. Seventeen-year-old Nora vanished, only leaving behind an abandoned car. In the small town, rumors ran wild, reporters tore apart families but in the end, there were no leads. Maddie was Nora’s best friend and never truly healed from losing her best friend. She is desperate for some closure. However, the opposite happens. The morning after the memorial, Nora’s sister Noelle is found dead at the exact same spot where Nora went missing. Now Maddie needs answers and has difficulty trusting anyone.

This mystery gets better and better as the pages turn. The reader never knows what to expect or who to trust. Everyone is a suspect. This makes for a great thriller. There are a few points where I believe there is a unnecessary information and serves no purpose to the plot. However, in regards to the main storyline, it kept me hooked from beginning to end!

Maddie’s character is written perfectly. She lost her best friend and at 17 that is like losing half of oneself. She feels empty and is never able to move on. She blames herself and the book really dives into how grief affects someone. She struggles with guilt and trusting everyone around her. I feel like everything Maddie experiences are how many people would feel if there were ever in this situation.

I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars! I really can’t wait to see more from this author and I would love to see this book made into a movie! I definitely recommend this read if you enjoy mystery or thrillers! You will never guess the ending!

Thank you Netgalley, A.M. Taylor and Harper Impulse and Killer Reads for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review!
