July Reads and TBR Updates!

We are officially halfway done with 2019! I am right on track with my Goodreads goal…yay!! My TBR has been all over the place this year. You know how it is, so many amazing books, so little time. I have my work cut out for me this month. I have 15 books I want to get through this month!! I really wish I could read more than that.

1-5: These are the books that I am reviewing for the September Issue of InD’Tale Magazine. Top secret as always, you will just have to find out when the magazine publishes.

6: The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom is the July selection for my book club. It is a historical fiction that takes place in America during the pre-Civil War period.

7: A River in Darkness by Masaji Ishikawa has been on my Kindle for a little over a year. The last time I cleaned out m kindle I decided that I need to put the same effort into completing these books as I do my physical books.

8: The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski is the introduction to The Witcher. I have watched my husband play the games and have been meaning to read the series! I would like to finish reading the books by the time the show comes out. Who else is excited about the show?

9: After We Collided by Anna Todd is the sequel to After. The first book was such an easy read. There isn’t much depth but the drama is entertaining and the first one ended on a cliffhanger, so here we are.

10: The Secret History of Witches by Louisa Morgan is on my Summer TBR list. I am so so so SO excited for this book!

11: Born a Crime by Trevor Noah. I absolutely adore Trevor Noah so I can’t wait to read about his childhood.

12: Touch Me Softly by Kelly Violet is a romance book that is on my Indie author TBR! She is so lovely in person and I truly can’t wait to read her book!

13: Shrug by Lisa Braver Moss. Yes, the book is called Shrug, even though it is misspelled on the side cover. (Awkward.) This is a private review for this month.

14: The Shaman of Turtle Valley by Clifford Garstang is also a private review for this month. The synopsis on this one really interests me! Stay tuned!

15: Our House by Louise Candlish is a book I received from a Goodreads giveaway! I meant to read it last month but we had so many events that I lost track of time.

I know, I know. I may be getting ahead of myself again. Thankfully, this week and next week I don’t have a lot of plans. Towards the end of the month, my family and I are going to a wedding but I will hopefully be able to read quite a bit on the plane.

I currently have about 50 books on my TBR, not including my Kindle TBR. My goal is to clear it before the end of the year. So have you read any of these books?

Happy Wednesday!
